Very different experience than last time almost 2 years ago. Absolutely quintessential Cabernet aromatics here today with cassis, blackberries and beautiful, floral freshness. Lovely medium-bodied palate with black fruits, herbs and iron / blood. Really fine tannins here. Lingering, elegant finish. Delicious and even more impressive considering the vintage. Drinking beautifully at the moment after 1 hour in the decanter. 17/20

Drinking really well right now. Dense red with a pale rim. Cassis, cherry, raspberry, lilac, potting soil, herbs de provence, pyrizines, cigar box, mocha, and vanilla. Med+ tannin, med+ acidity, med+ alcohol. Very well balance, med+ complexity, longish finish. Elegant, well balance wine a relatively subtle hand for a new world wine.

Totally closed upon opening, needed a good hour in the decanter to slowly open up. Very spicy with some nice black fruit and high acidity; clearly old world in style. I think I would have guessed northern Rhone Syrah if tasted blind. Very high tannin quality resulting in a beautifully sensual, supple mouthfeel while still maintaining a nice bite. The mid palate lacks a bit pressure. But I really love the style here. 16/20

I was slightly disappointed expecting a big Cab at 12 years old. It was very nice but wanted more!
