A very fine back up restaurant purchase (The View; Penang, Malaysia) as my first choice wasn't available. Nose of lime, marshmallow, limestone; similar flavors along with a subtle vanilla/oak hint. I'm sure I'll accept screwcaps at some point but this wine deserves a fancy, long cork! Great stuff.

It has no malolactic fermentation with 8 months in French oak barrels, a third new. Light straw yellow, surprisingly light colour for a Chardonnay. Fresh on the nose with a touch of vanilla oak and bright citrus fruits. Fresh and fruity palate, medium bodied with bright acidity nicely carry its weight, exhibits pear, peach, citrus and subtle smoky tones.

Drank this wine tonight at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant (Riverside Point.)
Pale yellow in colour. On the nose the freshness of the wine is exciting and exuberating. On the palate the wine is lean with notes of grapefruit, toasted almonds, some lemons and melon. This wine is sharp and focused with fresh acidity and good body and structure.
Pairs well with the seafood and roasted chicken which we had.

Mid gold. Youthful, subdued nose. Palate is fresh, vibrant, with citrus and stonefruit, some spicy oak and a slight creaminess, perhaps softness, to the palate. (88 Fair wine)
