Not bad, certainly, but not distinctive. A bit of residual tartness that's not necessarily pleasant, but the underlying fruit is good if a bit muted. Whistler, whether for good or ill, tends to a more aggressive style that's not here, in this wine, at this stage.

Nice medium weight Pinot. Probably at its peak in late '17. On the raspberry side - some faint tartness, balanced by a slightly dialed-up richness, nice powdery texture and mouthfeel. Unmistakable as a Sonoma Pinot Noir - I would pour it for anyone as a demonstration of the region. I remember enjoying this more a year or two ago than I am now, but it's still quite nice today.

This wine has aged tremendously well. In the cellar for 3+ years, and is now in its prime, yet shows no signs of over aging. Earthy, smooth, elegant, the perfect balance of light acidity, fruit, and earth. This was served as the second wine for a tasting menu at Rich Table in San Francisco and paired well three courses: 1) sea urchin in light cream sauce, 2) ricotta pierogis with yellow corn and pickled chanterelles, and 3) Aged NY Strip with fried oyster, heirloom tomatoes, and green goddess dressing.
