Unreal. I really have no idea how Dom achieves such high quality every year. This is stunningly fresh, tense, mineral and edgy. Across two hours it opens to white chocolate, citrus, so precise. This bottle was impressively fresh, drinking so young.

Rather disappointing. A weaker showing of my favorite champagne brand. Not the first bottle of DP04 that was disappointing. Considering the age (not old yet!) the wine comes with too many oxidative notes. A problem with my delivery years ago? Three more bottles from the same delivery, after that six from a different delivery. Let’s hope those will be better.

Delicate bouquet. Good oxidation w. rye bread and preserved yellow fruit. Rounded palate with retained acidity and gentle bubbles. Good depth and complexity, lots of autolysis, windfall apples. Very harmonious. Drink now.
