Again the second bottle in 2- 3 months and last one; which is a good thing... Very disappointing; oaky oaky oaky did not even seem like a sub standard Brunello, hours of decanting did not help. Next day that oak sent was gone, but wow still there in the palate... could not appreciate anything good here.

We decanted this one for 4 1/2 hours and still... Wine was slightly corked, disappointing. The intense level of oak was way beyond what any Brunello should have, still optimistic of the one I have left will open soon and try again. Hope it's not a trend that will run thru my (5) 2010, (2) 2011, (2) 2012 and (4) 2013

Loved this Luce Brunello at its 10yr old stage. Drinking really well now and will continue to improve for an easy 5-10 more years. Elegant and complex nose of dark cherry, blueberry, violets, leather and mixed spices. Very balanced on the palate with a magnificent nutty, earthy and mushroom characteristic which blends really well with the fruit aspect and brings this wine to the next level. Happy to have 1 bottle left which I'll drink and review in 5+yrs. Cheers

Brunello di Montalcino tasting (Riga, Latvia): 🏅Rating 92/100 (4,2⭐)
Parkerization. Coconut, vanilla new oak. There is no Italian identity to these wines. Silicon babe. Not my style. Quality wise, no complaints.
French barriques 90% used, 10% new; Slavonian oak casks
Aging 36 months, in casks and in barriques

Decanted and had a glass with lunch. Returned to it dinner time. It was singing. Very nice.
