  • Resolved and smooth. Elegant but not much power.

  • I was a little worried about this one due to its age but hey, it's Vine Cliff, right? (and they have never disappointed me) Anyway, this bottle had what seemed to be a small amount of taint, but not enough to be corked. Despite the fact that a hint of the cork taint lingered, the flavor was largely unaffected and it paired fantastically with a filet mignon, buttered parsley red skin potatoes and green beans almondine. Tannins on this bottle are now smooth as silk and there is still gobs of fruit remaining in this 15+ year old bottle of wine. Will look for more of this.
