Opened and consumed for dinner. Showing light red with medium body. Lots of oak and tart cherry and raspberry. On the palate, more of the same with a slight green note on the finish. Fleshing out with air, showing more fruit to the black side, and spices and layers of turbinado, toast, and cola.

PnP. Violet red. Dark fruits on nose with some musty spice, cola. Sweet red and darker fruit on palate with a thick texture. Somewhat balanced by acidity but not nearly enough. Tannins play on finish. Not complex or finesseful, but the fruit is satisfying. No reason to hold these longer.

14.1% alcohol. Dark red color. Brooding nose of blackberry, plum, and black cherry. In the mouth, delightfully plush, with dark Pinot fruit, deep earth, and a hint of spice. Good acidity. Long finish. A-

Powerful, Cotes de Nuit nose of forest floor, menthol, and dark fruit. Midrange cherry fruit, layered and persistant, dark and savory. Somewhat syrupy in texture. Has some heft, and some warmth to the finish. I've had this wine before, two years ago, and it has leveled out since then, taken on some richness, and some depth. Not a lot of refinement, though, it must be said. But still outstanding.
