This wine needs to be drunk now. Tart strawberry jam and cherry pips on the nose, plus some twiggy hints. Palate is all bright cherry fruit, light bodied, some violets and tannin. Its good, not great, and probably reflective of the vintage. Still, a well made wine from a very good winery.

This is a pale pinot to look at but the taste is beautiful, light but real. Pepper with spice and cedar in there as well. While it is not a heady pinot its a real wine. There is substance in this wine. I have two more bottles out of my cellar and will love each one and leave the rest for another year to see how its travelling. Very well will be the answer no doubt.

A very light, almost pink colour in the glass, the nose is muted initially but over time starts to show plum and dark cherry aromas.
On the palate the wine doesn't have the usual complexity of a Hoddles Creek Estate Pinot, with straight forward dark cherry benefiting from gentle spices, and broad oak inputs rounding out the palate.
The 2011 is a release that will be best enjoyed in it's youth.
