  Peach is the main thing here, but also honey, orange, spice, and a lovely mouthfeel, with a long and slightly citrus and honey finish. I've never really bothered with Sauternes before but now feel this was a mistake, looks beautiful in the glass as well.

  Nice vintage for Rabaud Promis here starting with its apricot, pineapple, orange, green apple and floral nose. Concentrated, sweet, but not overblown, due to the refreshing jolt of acidity, the finish is all about the apricot custard sensation. This is so good now, and it's going to be even better with a decade or so of bottle age.

  Belle couleur jaune-miel, brillant, lourd, larmes fréquentes, fines et rapides.
  Nez puissant et expressif d'abricots, de miel, de cannelle avec une pointe de citron. Fond d'épices (vanille) et de bonbon anglais (acétate d'isoamyle).
  Attaque souple et large se développant sur le miel, l'abricot et le poivre. Joli botrytis et teneur en sucre élevée. Bouche très ample et puissante.
  Belle finale longue et persistante sur le miel, le bonbon anglais et le poivre.
  Un Rabaud-Promis puissant et ample, qui le rapproche de Rieussec. On a connu RB plus frais et plus fin. Remarquable toutefois pour ceux qui apprécient les Sauternes puissants.

  This was opened too young in my opinion. I knew it in advance but didn't have any other sauternes at hand that were ready to drink. Leave this alone for at least 3 years or so. There is some minerality here that brings a surprising freshness to the wine, but I would also like to see it disappear into softer tones as it ages. Nevertheless it is a very good price-value sauternes that I hope will improve even further when getting older. Served it with freshly made foie-gras from my local butcher. Excellent.
