December 26, 2022. Drank from Bin south 22 in Vancouver with kids. Light oak nose. Dark purple. Full body soft with touch of cherry then even dry chalk finish. Little fruit any longer, but nice mature Bourdeau blend. 7.5/10.

Poured without any obvious discoloration. Aromas include cooked cherry, blackberry, cassis, cigar tobacco, graphite, and dried herb. Nearly full bodied, the tannins are dense and almost chewy while the acid is bright and integrated. It’s slowly thinning out but remains balanced. Flavors include dried cherries and blueberries, black plum, dark chocolate, pipe tobacco, and worn leather. On the earthier and more savor end of the house style, it’s a good wine that’s likely just beginning a slow decline. While the fruit gets a little sweetness with oxygen, I see this getting increasingly bitter with time in the bottle.

Super great wine - still holding its own - no decant needed - popped poured and enjoyed over an hour or two.

Maturing to brick colour
Decanted 90 minutes
Soft tannins, gentle bramble acidity, very attractive but won't improve from here. At this level for maybe two more years, with decline from there

Was beautiful on opening, but faded fairly quickly. True for both bottles. I would say drink by 2021.
