I have been a fan of Argyle for some time now, but most of my experience has been with their sparkling and upper end Pinots. This entry-level wine is far from basic—fairly light color but robust aromas of dark cherry, wet earth, and eucalyptus. Although far from “fruity” there is still plenty of red berry on the palate. But there is also depth, a touch of grip, and plenty of lip-smacking acidity. Very Good. thedrunkencyclist.com

Recognizable as WV Pinot Noir, with classic cherry notes and a touch of earthiness. Straightforward, but exceeded my expectations for this entry-level bottling. Lighter-weight, easy-drinking, best on day 1. 87-88.

Popped and poured, swirled for 20 minutes, and cranberry, orange peel, and animal fur populate the nose. Classic Oregon pinot on the palate, with tart cherry, cola, and earth commingling perfectly on a bed of medium acidity.

Solid Pinot, great acidity. For the $10 I paid? Close to unbeatable. thedrunkencyclist.com
