PnP and drunk on day one and four. On day one a bit disappointing, walnut and dried apricot, a bit like a good tawny but with a light weighted palate. Just another wine on day four, did not expect such an evolution. On the nose orange peel, quince, almonds and coffee (!?), on the palate good acidity, moderate sweetness, concentrated and long, elegant and superb. Will leave my other bottles for some years in the cellar.

Nose with minty mineral notes, concentrated yellow fruit including yellow apple, and some slightly odd notes that I couldn't really find a description for. The palate is sweet with good concentration, honey, citrus, good acidity, spice, and a fresh honey-dominated aftertaste. 90 p Residual sugar 85 g/l.

Visits to Touraine Producers-Baudry, Huet, Foreau...; 10/22/2012-10/24/2012 (Vicinity of Tours, France): This followed the flabby '03 and was the wine of the tasting. Not botrytized. Fabulous, pure Chenin quince. Rich, moderately sweet, yet perfectly cut by strong acidity and a long, lemony finish. This should be one for the ages-fantastic potential. Immediately as impressive as some of the great '09s produced here.
