Soft red, translucent color. Muted nose of violets and strawberries. Bit sharp -- harsh? -- on the palate. Cherries, strawberries. Fine tannins, sharp acidity, bit out of balance. Finishes moderately long with a dusty strawberry note. Past prime for sure, but still some pleasure.

PnP. Deep cherry aromas with forest floor and asian spice. Intense thick fruit, with lovely balancing tannins and acidity. Not much finesse, but has fair complexity. Great example of its type.

Lovely nose of high and mid-toned red fruit--crushed raspberries and blueberries--menthol, and pine. Ripe and rich, but also structured and acidic. Elegant, even. Blue and red fruits are high register; tart blueberry flavor finishes with some sappiness, some pop. Mouth-coating and delicious. This still has youthful exuberance: there is density, and power, ripeness, and elegance (in that order, roughly). The one drawback is the touch of heat on the finish, which imparts the slightest note of bitterness once the wine approaches room temperature.

dark red, in color. smoke, spicy, fireplace, on the nose. raspberry, spice, blackberry, on the palate. medium acid, low tannins, on the finish.
