Very dense garnet color. Black fruit and licorice on nose. Slight clove. On palate, smooth, round dark fruit, cherry chocolate, no bitterness. Really tasty and delicious for it's 20 years. Excellent value!

A pleasant surprise. I thought this bottle would be old, past its prime. But NO. Nose is berries, mainly mature bing cherries. Smooth feel on the tongue, slight tannin that is matured with complex flavors, mainly fruit and tar. Moderately long finish with minimal oak flavor.

Bottle was past its peak. Slight vinegary aftertaste, but the body of the wine was still fine to drink. Went well with our steaks.
