Tremendous wine. Cellar Tracker, why oh why are your drinking windows so conservative? Perfectly balanced, this wine has quince, capsicum, on the nose beautiful forward palate of fruit and balanced acidity, long and lingering mid palate with quince, capsicum, and dried blueberry, with a loooooooong and satisfying finish that starts with fruit, turns to white pepper, and becomes cayenne pepper. Stunning.

Well. Sadly, this is the last bottle of this wine in my cellar, and it just might be the best of the three (but we might be splitting hairs here). Really light in the glass, really light, like almost rosé light (and a bit cloudy), but an abundance of luscious aromas: Bing cherry, raspberry, rhubarb, and a smattering of earth tones. On the palate, the fruit is deep and profound, but not overbearing, incredible acidity, and a finish that lasts minutes. Several minutes. Oh my goodness, this might be the best Failla I have had. thedrunkencyclist.com

We are big fans of Failla, but our stock is dwindling, so it is a relatively rare occasion that we open a bottle. More than a decade out, this is really an amazing wine. Cloudy in the glass surprisingly, with Black cherry, earth, and verve. Whoa. On the palate still vibrant and tart, with said black cherry and spice. Incredible. thedrunkencyclist.com
