I determined the other day that I have a bit too many dessert wines and thus grabbed this on a whim in hopes of remedying the situation. Quite dark--a deep amber, ginger ale type color, with aromas of apricot, honey, and passion fruit (?). Quite sweet on the palate with a nice tartness. This is not going anywhere soon. Outstanding. thedrunkencyclist.com

Nice improvement in 4 years. Honey, marmalade, smoke, stone fruit, earth, a little menthol, and dried pineapple on the nose. Honey, orange, citrus peel, earth, and spice on the light palate. Decent acidity (thought I prefer more), light-medium body, short-medium finish. Overall, this was pleasant and tasty, but maybe a bit simple. It went great with an almond cake though.

I know that Sauternes gets most of the love in the region, but some of the satellites (like Loupiac) are capable of producing some really fine wines. This is a case in point. Great honeyed pineapple with a perfect sugar level. This wine has a ways to go, but it was fabulous tonight.... Outstanding. thedrunkencyclist.com

Still fruity and zesty, drinking quite sweet.
