Try as I might, I couldn't keep my hands off our last bottle. Consumed over two nights, and that extra time in the bottle seemed to bring out more aromatic nuances. No detailed notes taken, I would just echo Mike Dildine's comments below. Gorgeous grenache, and still a 93 for me.

Ken hasn't missed a beat with this rendition. It strikes me as a bit more earthy than usual, and it requires an hour or two of air before the aromatics really start to fire up. Great QPR as always.

When I last had this wine, my note to self was to hold off until 2025 to drink our last bottle, as the wine was simply massive. However, when I opened a 2016 last year, it had lost some of the higher tones I love in cool climate syrah, so I decided to pop this one sooner than later. My experience was similar with this 2017. It does have a nose that fills the room, and it is very full bodied and drinking well, but it comes across as more of a warmer climate syrah. So I am thinking 6 years past the vintage is the sweet spot, at least for my palate. We'll see how it goes with the 2017 Upslope, which I have yet to open.
