Last bottle and sorry to see it go. I have had a great experience with this wine all along the way. It was decanted for about one and a half hours. I would describe the drinking experience as classic CNdP.
I have had 2025 down as the last year in the drink window. I recall a couple of times that red wines I owned rolled over and down very quickly. In every instance, the wine was a CNdP. Those experiences have made me willing to drink up once the wine is in a good drink window.

Penultimate of 4 bottles, last consumed this wine about 6 mos ago. Lovely and in a great spot right now, showing blackberries, plums, gravelly minerals and garrigue, with anise and pepper in the upper register. Tannins are in a good place, with a solid acid spine and a pretty long and satisfying finish. Drink soon to catch at peak.

2nd bottles from a 4 pack, last drank a bottle 4.5 yrs ago. No formal TN, quite tasty CdP that is maturing and ready to drink. Plums, red cherries, mint, wet rocks and campfire smoke. The finish is full of black fruits and smoke, with resolving tannins and good levels of acidity. Drink now through 2024+.

This one was a crowd pleaser at a restaurant. Except for one bottle a couple of years ago that was a little off, my experience with this wine has been terrific and consistent. If is classic CNdP.

I have had erratic experiences with this wine. The last bottle was well off from earlier experiences. This one was back to near what it was a while back. I do not even have a theory as to why.

Fantastic aroma of sweet black fruit compotes and fresh herbs like thyme and rosemary. Ripe, but not overly sweet on the palate with some stewed prunes as well as plum and blackberry notes, sous bois and Herbs de Provence as well. Perfectly mature and in a great spot. Fantastic with authentic Chinese! Drink now-2027+ 93

Earlier bottles of this wine were very good. Over the last year, I have found them erratic......not on a trend down, but up and down. This one was down a little. Hard to explain.

I had a disappointing bottle of this wine a few months back. All prior bottles had been outstanding....94 ratings. This bottle was back to what it had been. I give it a 93, but am probably selling it short. It has a deep/dark/fruity character, but also still comes off as fresh.

Prior bottles I consumed of this wine were real stars......with ratings above the price point. This bottle was not as good as the prior ones.....in line with the price point, but not a great value. The next bottle will tell whether this is an aberration or a trend.

Note : 16,5- 16,75/20 i.e. 92-93/100

Big nose of stewed black cherries, berries and raspberries. Heady, with a bit of VA and a definite cooked quality in this warm vintage. Full bodied and moderately tannic. This is maturing nicely, and already shows some tertiary character. Complex with Christmas-cake like fruit. Should lose a bit more tannin over the next two years and be at full maturity. Lovers of super ripe wines will LOVE this. A bit chunky for me at this stage. 93 df 9.1.

Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of barnyard, smoke, pepper and mixed dark fruits. Flavors of black berries, black raspberries and plums. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink now with air or continue to hold.

Dark garnet color with brilliant clarity and somewhat translucent. The smells are perfumed, dark spice and raspberries. The tastes are cinnamon, cherry, currants, and sassafras. The tannins are course satin and the acidity is zingy and this zing persists on the finish.

Very sweet, overripe fruit, slightly jammy and stewed. A bit one dimensional and too big, this lacks a bit of freshness and finesse. Nice mineral backbone though. Very long. 90-91+

Agree with the pro raters on the rating number. Classic. Very, very good. Great value. Very approachable for a young wine. I have put by back end drink year at 2025 (the pro reviewers are centered out at about 2030) because I have had a couple of CNdPs roll over very, very, quickly near the end of their drink window. Once is an isolated event. Twice starts to look like a trend.

A dinner with Michel Tardieu (Palm restaurant, London): Old school CnDP made from 100% Grenache sourced from sandy soil, out of the wind and low in the appelation. 100% whole bunch fermented with no new oak. Outstanding mouth-feel with beguiling richness and depth to the nose and palate and a lovely long finish.
Quite exceptional wine, if not typical of the appelation. This will be wonderful future drinking for those lucky enough to have some stashed away in the cellar.
