Golden yellow with very light fine mousse and bubbles. Intense sweet sour lemon lime flavor adds vibrancy to a clearly mature wine. Drink up as bubbles fading fast, but flavor profile is still so very good.

Opened last night with Thai food and great friends. Fantastic showing. Complex, deep and quite rich with great acidity. We actually drank this at cellar temperature which really showed the fruit well. As one migfht imagine, not a vibrant mousse at all but the wine was so good that the little bubbles left were just perfect. Drink away. Not getting better but proving that this was really well made.

Fantastic concentration and acidity. Long finish. I blind guessed old krug Grande cuvee. Would give this 95 points had it not been for the musty old cellar smell of a champagne past peak, when first opened. Luckily this almost disapeared completely with some time in glas.

Pretty aromas of sweet-sour lemon-lime with a hint of nuttiness. In a very good place showing both hints of age adding complexity to solid wall of pure citrus fruits. Nice elements of acid bite and long rich finish. Quite good, but would probably suggest drinking up over next couple of years.

A huge wine. Upon the first pour, the nose had huge scents of ginseng, mushrooms, hazelnuts, honey, citrus and apples with a smattering of creaminess. The palate was as big as the nose and had lots of acidic fruits (lemons, lime, oranges), nuttiness and white flowers. It was backed up by lots of creaminess and a backbone of acidity. The finish was very broad and expansive. A pleasure to drink it but in small doses. It can be pretty overwhelming if drunk too much.

Very nice Champagne. The nose is fine and complex, the mouth is beautiful, balanced and so tasty. Vinous too. Granny Smith, hazelnut, lemon, combined with classic chardonnay notes. Really long finish. Just note that this wine need to be open at least 2 hours before drinking.

Might have been cooked, barely any fruit or yeast notes overpowered by mushroom and oxidative profile. I actually don't mind the oxidative style of champagne, but not really the quality I was expecting. Tasted better as a still wine after some time in the decanter where some notes of honey and pears balanced out the tertiary flavors a bit.

Very open nose ripe red apples, hints of biscuit, cinnamon and vanilla. In the mouth the ripe red apples, marmalade, dried fruits, fine bead and moderate acidity. Medium to long finish. Ready to drink now.

nose: gorgeous and flowing nose of white florals, mineral tones, apples and caramel notes as well. Very well balanced and showing a mix of maturity and freshness
taste: polished medium feel with medium+ acidity that is noticeable but not intruding. Well balanced with refined tones of white florals, citrus tones, minerals, apples and caramel tones
overall: This is in a real interesting place right now. There is still a freshness to it that it brings but also shows a maturity to it as well

Ringing in the New Year; 12/31/2010-1/2/2011: nose: lush and deep nose filled with tones of bread, warm honey, navel oranges, fresh picked citrus tones, sliced lemons, mineral tones, bits of roasted kernals, and nougat. Very complex, but still fairly distinct on the nose as well as it fills up the glass
taste: creamy medium/full feel and medium+ acidity along with very well balanced tones of brioche, warm honey, fresh picked citrus', mineral tones and a touch of nougat. The acidity is still kicking a bit
overall: a great bubbly. Secondary tones are starting to show while there is still some freshness of fruit as well. This is one that will have to be revisited as much as possible over the next 10 years

Restrained biscuit and straw aroma gives little hint of the flavour bomb to follow. Superb lemon-acidic entry passes seamlessly to an intense layered apple palate (think of the finest Normandy cider, only infinitely more concentrated and refined...) with more than a touch of hay and wild flowers; perfect balancing acidity. Glorious tiny-bubble mousse, never interfering with the supreme quality of the wine itself. Very long resonant finish, to be measured in minutes rather than seconds. If there is a flaw, it is a slight hitch in the palate just before swallowing, where the peacock's tail of flavour turns monochrome before opening out again on the finish. Fantastic Champagne, well worth its high price, au point today. 94P

Deep yellow colour, very fine bubbles. Nose of citrus with small hints of nuts. In the mouth, the wine is opulent. Bubbles are fine and delicate and compliment fine and precise aromas of citrus. The wine exhibits an elegantminerality with hints of limestone which develop in the finale. The wine is at perfect maturity, no hints of oxydation. Can probably last another 5 years.
Tasted with a wonderrfull wagyu tartare

Crisp clear citrus to start, which was pleasnt, and developed nicely into a gentle roast nut taste after over 4 hours in the bottle in the fridge. Well developed and probably drinking a few years beyond the CT drinking window

Christmas lunch (At Home, Hong Kong): Probably the wine of the day. Started off fresh and crisp - lemon and limes. Ended up showing some nutty toastiness. Very good wine and one to find again.

A magnum. Pale yellow, reasonable stream of bubbles and decent mousse. This is very clean and elegant with a mineraly, chalky quality to the attack with lemon and freshly-cut apple fruit. Mid-palate and finish is reasonably complex, clean and elegant. Quite long. This oozes class but feels as if it needs a while longer - think this has the potential to develop over the next five to ten years. ****(*)

A rich, full-bodied Champagne that was more mature tasting than I would have guessed. On the nose, rising bread dough, honey, and nuts (almonds). Apple and pear with a little bit of red fruit too. Delicious.

Atra Deal Dinner (Vecchio Torino): What a way to start a dinner. Pale honey color, nose of toasted bread and light honey. Opened up by the minute and got more and more complex and deep. Nice nutty bread dough on the palate with a core of minerality and lively acidity. The slight oxidative nuances and aged elements were in great balance with it's body and freshness. Worth every penny.

First impression on the nose was as if this wine was very slightly corked, but this faded away soon. After this, it revealed a lot of taste, with a distinctive nutty tone. Very nice bubbles, with a "fleshy" character, probably because of the pinot fruit.
