Excellent cork, dark red in color. Nose of leather, herbs mineral and cedar. Has moderate dark fruit, okay length and mature tannins. Will have to compare to the reserve. Has held up well!

This came from an auction lot of mixed CA cabs. took an hour or so to open, still young and color showed little browning at the edges, very complex nose of minerals, spices, herbs and smoke, not much fruit or floral, finish quite long, tannins well integrated but you can still feel it. can probably last afew more years easily.

Almost 14 years after the vintage, you wonder whether the Califronia Cabernet would be outsanding, merely drinkable or something to wash down the drain. This 1992 Napa Cab has stood up to the test of time. Some hints of cedar and eucalyptus that combine with the dark cherry core, makes this an enjoyable wine. Probably has a few years left on it. A little touch of smoke and oak reminds you this is a Napa cab. My bottle still had the price tag on it: $13.99. Yes, it was purchased in 1994 or 1995. But still - what happened to buying Napa Cabs for $14?

Crazy bricking around the edge, leather, dried herbs, prune, cherry, way too old for my taste. Best 10 years ago. Still enjoyable, but past prime.

Similar to Nov note. A little more pepper on the nose and palate than I noticed last time. Very good. Fully mature.

Very good, but still tight for an hour after opening. Put it head-to-head with a '93 Caymus, and it was the clear loser (although still solid)
