Agree completely w WIML note below; not much to add. Definitely on the downside but still 3-4 years of pleasure. Worked beautifully w a toasted pecan/arugula/chocolate mint/basil pesto on scallops and pasta. Shows better with food that mirrors those warm and nutty notes in this brilliant SB.

Yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of herbs du Provence, brandy soaked pears, lychee and wet stone. Flavors of quince, apricot and yellow pears. Medium acidity, full bodied. Drink over the short term. This wine was absolutely singing and distinctly more elegant and supple on the palate than the previous two bottles consumed years ago.

Very nice. A little less fresh and compelling than the last bottle I had about a decade ago, but this was still really good. It had an pleasing nose of beeswax, orange blossom and stone fruits, along with a little lanolin at the side. With time, a sweeter candy floss note floated out as well. I thought it was a Chenin Blanc on that nose. There was quite a bit of weight on the palate too, with a creamy roundness in the mouth, showing through fleshy, ripe flavours of red apples and fleshier white peach notes, again laced with a touch of orange blossoms - all this leading into a long, weighty finish touched with mineral and spice. There was a nice bit of tension and definition lent to it by a candied lemon acidity in spite of its weight though, which kept the wine very drinkable in spite of its girth and power. A very pleasing drink, probably at peak now.

Light golden hue. Persistent, building nose of white stone, freshly-mown grass, lime, and apple core. Densely-textured layers of zingy grapefruit, winter melon, apricot, and lychee on the palate overlying a rock edifice of mineral structure and spine. Copious acidity and firm structure leading to a long finish of robust white fruit with flinty grip. Amazing with Jambalaya. Found myself describing this as "monumental".

I really like these with age. Some friends don't as much, but it has the richness and the floral nature with great minerality. It might lose a slight bit of the acidity on the finish as an early drinker, but I don't really miss it due to the added complexity 10 years gives.

Extraordinary! Very deep colored, golden wine. The spice, the intense citrus, the perfume, the textures, the raciness. Wow!! Quite rich per the vintage yet very racy. Probably the best SB I've ever had!

Brilliant hay gold color and crystal clear. The smells are grass, grapefruit, flowers, and citrus zest. The tastes are stone, minerals, grapefruit, lime zest, herbs, and hints of melon. The acidity is zingy and the finish is lengrhy with notes of salinity.

A light golden hue that almost radiates the yellow gold from the core. I’d hate to asy this wine is linear since that suggests it is one dimensional, but the focus of the wine is single-minded with laser-like intensity. Bright, clean and pure intensity of gooseberry, boxwood, white grapefruit, glycerol with a finish of fig. It is as if the flavor of white grapefruit juice has been concentrated but without the loss of acidity or freshness. The white grapefruit is more akin to grapefruit oil than fruit. The intensity of the fruit coats the mouth, but then the acidity wipes the palate clean. If I were to leave this world with one wine as my legacy, this would be such a wine. 14% alc. With baked halibut topped with panko and walnuts with a side of roasted root vegs. Highly Recommended.

Incredibly expressive and sweet-smelling Nose. Loads of minerality and tropical fruits on the palate. Surprisingly dry on the palate (the Nose would certainly lead one to believe they were in store for a rather sugary wine) -- this has, at most, just a wee bit of r.s., in my best estimation. This seems like it would age for a long long time. This sets a new high water mark in my experience with Sauvignon Blanc ... just so freakin' mind-bendingly awesome.

Drinks at Taberna (Binjai Park): Really superb stuff. Very different from the Silex of the same vintage, but I think it is almost as good. Nose had deep notes of nuts, green grass, herbs, goosberries, toast and sweet yellow fruit. Very rich, very complex - hard to imagine this side by side with a new world SB. Palate was even better. Really succulent and rich, with powerful flavours of fleshy white fruit, gooseberries and a grapefruity citrus lift. Lots of zippy acidity actually, but the sweet weight on the wine needed it. Overall, it had a bit less cut and focus than the Silex, but this had great depth and breadth and an in-your-face strength and impressiveness that was quite breathtaking on an SB. It finished long, fresh and deep, with a touch more fresh white fruit and toasty nuts running alongside a serious chalky minerality. Still young, but boy, this was quite the powerhouse. So good that I preferred this ever so slightly to a very good Henri Boillot Pucelles we had alongside.

Maybe a bit harsh but was expecting a LOT more given our experience of the 2005 which is a truly mesmerising white wine. Very pale yellowish with a delicate nose. Mostly citrus and mild minerality . Good overall mouthfeel but still wanted more. Def not worth the £110 we paid at the restaurant

Didn't enjoy as much as first time, perhaps because it was pop, pour and slurp and it could have used some time in the glass. More sour and less tropical than I remember.

This, on the other hand, is a great wine. Light yellow color. Great, pure, perfumed nose bursting with spring flowers, citrus, peach and apricot aromas. Concentrated and pure with a zesty minerality. Long and refined finish. This is an outstanding wine without a doubt. At Legal Seafood in Boston.

An unbelievably good, crisp, dry, flinty and minerally high end Loire Valley sauvignon blanc from the now-deceased master himself, Didier Dagueneau. Enjoyed with Kim at the Setai in S Beach, Miami with their "Asian gourmand" tasting menu and this complemented the spicy Asian dishes superbly. Outstanding, very pale yellow, very well balanced, clean and crisp with medium mouth feel and very dry. Nose of acid, citrus, lemon grass and flint with primary flavors of citrus, lemon grass, some mild peach and some white pepper developign on palate. Much too expensive and hard to find to be any kind of a good QPR wine but despite that I HIGHLY recommend this wine. One of my favorite whites.

Melon, lime, smoke, cat pee, on an intense nose. On taste a delicious sb that races between flavors. Great razor sharp acidity that makes the wine fresh and exciting but with the balance of flavors that makes it a pleasure to drink. Great wine and excellent example of what a sauvignon blanc can be.
Purchased and consumed this weekend in honor of Didier.
