Garnet to perhaps dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of birch, sandalwood, white pepper and black cherries. Flavors of black raspberries, plums an black cherries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold. I'd lean towards drink now.

This wine is really singing. I drank a few other bottles to soon. If you are lucky enough to have any left I would suggest you drink one of them now even with a pop and pour. You won't be disappointed.

Not a lot of flavor in this bottle, with the exception of a high level of alcohol. This was the second 06 of this wine that we opened, both had the high alcohol level.

Another nice bottle but nothing to write home about. The 2006 KBs are just not up to the other vintages despite the great winemaking skills of Michael browne.

Equisite, pure and lush mouthfeel. Goes right up to the line with ripe red pinot fruits, without becoming too sweet or heavy. Wonderful balance and a lenghty finish, with a touch of acidity.

So close to perfect. This has the fruit to appease the cali pinot lovers and the dark undercore and complexity to please the Burg Hounds. Not only both sides, but A TON on both sides. This destroyed one of the vaunted '07s (95 points WS) we had around the holidays, which was surprisingly bordering on sour.

This was a stunning Pinot. I tried one a year ago and it was sooo tight. Opened 6 hours before drinking. Current cherries and dust on the nose. Red fruit and great balance on the palate. Not a bomb. A little candied cherry as well. Loooong finish. Winner of the night.

Not a good bottle. I am a fan of KB's style but this is astringent and even sour. Fairly dark, almost plum color with good clarity. The nose shows a good amount of fruit with some heat coming through. The palate is sour and a bit disjointed. I'm scratching my head on this one...not corked but maybe an off bottle?

Tasted from a barrel sample at the Kosta Browne Winery; The 4 barrels are : Kanzler 115; Miron, 667 Gap's Crown and Rosellas (the shade side of the vineyard in a neutral barrel). Nicely juicy young PN. After tasting single VYs the complexity from this blend was striking.

Flirting with perfection, and better than every bottle of Marcassin I can remember (as much as I love that too).
Iron fist in the velvet glove. This was so well balanced and complete, I was stunned.
Anyone who says KB is all fruit and no restraint has never tried this wine.
Does domestic Pinot get any better? Not sure it does....

Not the best 4 barrel I've consumed but considering it's a 2006 it's very good. Ready to drink. No reason to wait

A little heat is all that detracted from this bottle. Berry and spice, with some dry tannins. Wait a year or two before trying again.
