I don't drink a lot of New World whites, especially sauv blanc, but this is the best I've had in years. No grassiness or cat pee, which is a positive for me. It has a mineral forward presentation with a touch of oiliness and body from the 2% semillion that gives it an Old World-meets-New character. Medium bodied. The fruit is grapefruit and melon maybe subtle stone fruit -- not really any tropicals. It has a steeliness to it from the stainless steel aging.
Paired amazingly with a scallop sashimi served with a touch of thin sliced kumquat, fresno chile, asian pear granita, and avocado cream.

Tried the 2022 Spottswoode at a dinner party along with the new Vinum Dei SB. Overall preferred the Vinum Dei, but always love the Spottswoode. This '22 Spottswoode is a zesty little number that makes my taste buds do a happy dance! Vibrant, with great aromas of grapefruit zest, freshly mowed lawn, and lemongrass. On the palate, it's a fruit salad of lime, green apple, and passionfruit flavors, backed by a brilliant zinginess. Plenty of racy concentration, while still being an elegant, lifted style. Fermented in a mix of stainless and neutral oak, there's no buttery or oaky business here. One of the best Napa SB's.

What a delight, and so consistent in quality from vintage to vintage. Peach and stone fruit aromas, and a herbal element. The palate is beautifully textured with refreshing acidity. Restrained and balanced. I would gladly drink this on its own. It’s easy to see why the whites were Mary Weber Novak’s favourite Spottswoode wines.

Classic SB, plenty of lemon, stone fruit, grass. A little more weight on the palate than I expect from an SB. Plenty of fresh acidity and longish finish. Nice to see this acidity after the 2019 was showing less than usual.

clean light yellow golden color; pleasant powerful nose of lime, juniper and grass; well balanced with acidity restrained for a sauvignon blanc ; nice mouth feel; delicious citrus fruit and grassy flavors. Very engaging.

Spottswoode Tasting in London: This was suprisingly good, light and refreshing but with decent lime and stone fruit and a soft, velvety texture. Drinks more like Loire than waxy BDX Blanc. 91-92

Love this wine. A nice classic sauv blanc. Just a bright, crisp wine that opens up your pallet. Cheers

Absolutely excellent! When considering price and citrus flavor, acidity and nose, probably rating it too low.
