Decided to have this with Turkey dinner. Excellent match. Decanted for 2 hours. Nose was filled with oak and smoke while pouring into decanter. Wine starts with berries and slight vanilla flavour, very little tannin as one would expect from a new world Pinot. Alcohol is present without being overpowering but lacks acidity. Overall this is a very good wine. Definitely needs to be drunk now. This wine has all of the components of a great Pinot but i did not come away from it feeling wowed. Only had one bottle to share with 4. guess I'll have to get another one to confirm.

Note as before, except this seemed a little larger than a month ago, and there was a noticeable smokiness, akin to Lapsang Souchong tea. Think smoky, bright sour cherries with a quite persistant finish, and you'll have the essence of this wine. Was excellent with baked wild Coho salmon with a light tomato-based sauce with pepper, salt, and tarragon!

Funk on the nose, that mellowed as it moved from decanter to glass. Light fruity wine. Red cherries. Little bit of earth. Finish was a little off and reminded me of licorice. But overall a very good wine

This is very good for what it is, and that's a bright and light pinot noir, definitely against the recent trend for this type of wine. A light ruby in the glass, with a reluctant nose of cherries, strawberries and, perhaps swayed by the bottle's own description, some tea notes. On the palate this features a juicy blend of cherries and strawberries, perhaps even a touch of raspberries, a touch of spice, and perhaps just a whiff of oak; little and no tannins to speak of, and with a bright acidity that nearly makes this wine a palate-cleanser! I completely fail to understand the previous comments about syrah. Nonetheless, a pure, somewhat simple, tasty pinot noir for mid-week cajun-seasoned pork chops!

When we were tasting at the winery it screamed quality Pinot to me. All I taste on this is Syrah. It's got a great acidic backbone and tons of fruit but this bottle is all ripened blackberry to me. Weird at best with a long finish but no elegance.

Note: Beware of La Crema’s wine club. Sadly, the marketing department is asleep or has been sneaking one too many sips in the back room. The “Club” price should always be cheaper than the street price for any wine. It’s not with these folks. Wineries should always give something of a discount to loyal and patronizing individuals. If you don’t, you demean your core supporters and harm your reputation. Duh...
Medium plum red color. Pleasant strawberry/RASPBERRY nose. Part of the winemaker's tasting note is fair. "...aromatic tea leaves, subtle hints of cocoa and rose petals. Bright acidity and red cherries create a lush juicy entry, leading to a broad, sturdy finish." Is not a 'silky' wine. Tannins?

Aged very well. Very smooth raspberry and blackberry. Finishes with a hint of tannins. Really enjoyed.

Aromas of licorice, plum and chocolate. Good balance and long finish. Excellent with Spanish Manchego.

Medium in color with aromas of citrus and berries. Very single minded with ripe berryfruit in the fore, mild acidity with a lingering fruity finish.

Another good 2005 Ca pinot (though I'm not really a pinot guy), drinking well now.
