2021 Planet Oregon Pinot Noir
11/23/2023 - DanSm Does not like this wine: 79 Points
High-priced, red box wine with a fancy label to lure novice US wine drinkers who tolerate sweet characterless wines. The wine-searcher price is ridiculous, IMO. Over-ripe harvest. Too sweet for PN, which is common when sourced from inappropriate warmer locations or late harvest. Over-extraction also contributes to the loss of Pinot Noir's delicate flavors. Costco wine buyers fail again.

2021 Imagery Estate Winery Pinot Noir
10/27/2023 - DanSm Does not like this wine: 82 Points
Nice Pinot flavors, BUT overly sweet/candied, despite 14% alcohol. Either the harvest was over-ripe/too hot a location or over-extracted which is easy to do with Pinot. Despite the owner's/her claim of the vineyard being on a high mountain, and "You can grow almost any varietal here – and we do! 11 unique wine varietals on one special vineyard" the claim isn't good for Pinot Noir which needs a special cool climate.

2018 AVERÆN Chardonnay
2/10/2021 - DanSm Does not like this wine: 72 Points
Dominant lemon on the palette (someone else used the term "austere" lacking the beauty one normally can find in Chardonnay), and not much else. Their Pinot is much better. This wine is batched across "sub-appellations of the Willamette Valley," which is another way of saying they're blending who-knows-what and paste their label on it. Won't buy it again.
