  • It is amazing what a couple of years can do. That cherry heavy presence is more subdued and integrated. So more to my taste now. A softer cherry, perhaps some darker fruits, notes of anise, and some savory flavors try I can’t quite place. All in all very pleasant and easy to drink. Doesn’t quite reach the complexity or interest that would put it over 90 for me.

  • Drank over three days. Dark, brooding Washington Rhone blend with over-the-top minerality. It's like drinking river rocks. Tannins very strong on the first two days but the body got silkier on day three. Not a crowd pleaser but some interesting and delicious mineral flavors if you're into that.

  • PnP. The Grenache seems dominate here even though it is around 20 percent. Bright dark cherries dominate. Pretty smooth tasting, though a little heat near the finish. This is a bit too cherry dominate for my tastes. But for those who like that style this is quite good. I may revisit this note after having it with food. Or if it develops more significantly in the next few hours.

  • Friends and I tasted this at the Seattle tasting room on 10/14/17. It had a rich, plush bouquet of smoked meat, blueberry, blackberry, plum, toast, licorice, pepper and spice aromas. The palate was dense, supple and tasty with flavors of blueberry, blackberry, black cherry, toast, mocha, pepper, spice and minerals.

  • Much smoother and more balanced on the second day. Fruit forward Syrah (78%)-Grenache blend with interesting minerality.

  • Drank this over the course of an evening with a French Syrah/Grenache blend. They compared pretty much how we expected - classic old world/new world. This one was full, fruity, and delicious. Went well with our roast beef dinner, but could also stand on its own. Yummy.

  • Interesting terroir-driven wine with gamy nose, sour cherry over a bed of salty rocks on the palate, and a medium finish of smoked meat and fig. Not a mellow wine at this stage but quite enjoyable.

  • Decanted for 4 hours. Nose was dominated by vanilla, oak, cola and blue fruit. On the palate, medley of blue fruit, vanilla, green olive, smoke and a dominating note of cola. Was a big fan of the 2010 vintage, so couldn't hold back from seeing if this too was also approachable at a young stage. Not so much, which is ultimately unsurprising. Has a ton of potential with great symmetry between ripe fruit, pinpoint acidity and the youthful characteristics that typify a wine that lives on the meaty, funky spectrum. 91+ Will crack into my next bottle in 2016.
