Took an hour or so to open up but was a nice old world style blend. Tannins have pretty much left us but the fruit was still there. Not a wine built to age much beyond here. Enjoy now!

Last bottle of those provided to the bottling volunteers. Color was that of a much younger wine. Deep color with no sign of bricking. Nose of casis and black fruit. Palate was disappointing when compared to the nose. Palate was singularily focused and lacking fruit at this point.

The dark purple has softened to more of a ruby hue. Likewise, the fruit and structure has faded. It remains nicely balanced but past its prime by a couple of years.

I was immediately impressed by the dark rich nose on open, but over the course of the evening the interesting qualities diminished, and I was left with a perfectly good, but nothing special, bottle of Merlot-dominant Washington red. This was just the right bottle (a magnum) for a party where the wine didn't have to be particularly special.

Last bottle from a great case bought on release. This has never failed to impress but is now just starting to show its age. The acid is getting just a bit edgy. I would say this has started to dry up. Drink up.

Lots of bright red currant with a subtle background of tannin. Somewhat one dimensional, I was unimpressed as I expected a better bottle. The 95 still remains the best vintage I can recall from this producer.

Drank with Joanne at Cannon Beach. Opens up very nicely after about 1/2 hour. Lots of fruit in the nose. On the palate there were nice berry flavors with some earthy spice and wood flavors. The wine has matured nicely. Smooth finish - drink now.

Good color though slightly light, and a closed - in nose. Decent fruit with a nice Cab blend feel to it. Opened a bit but not a great deal. Very nice with food. Decent balance. Not overwhelming. A bit like a third growth?

Decant and pour. Beautiful somewhat restrained nose of cassis, plums, bit of graphite, and a mild fresh herb smell of dill & Thyme that went away within a half hour. Lovely red fruit on the palate, acidity still holding up, nice balance, and perhaps best of all a lush mouthfeel with fine-grained tannins through medium-length finish. My last of two bottles and wish I had another one or two, though I don't see this evolving much beyond where it is.

Deep, inky purple color. Slight nose but opened after time though still tight the next morning. Slightly sweet on the palate but good fruit though a weak finish. Not very tannic so hard to know how much more this will improve with time. Good solid everyday red and better than most at the price.

This is really in good form. Sweet fruit with a cool finish; very pretty aromatics that gently washes the palate. This has proved to be a steady wine--I have always preferred it to the Chaleur Estate; would buy more if under $30.

Wow. Drinking really nicely. I am impressed by the quality at this price. It's definitely a winner. It's slightly flabby, slightly hot, and the finish isn't huge, but it's still quite nice. I think it will go to 2008+.

Dense med ruby, hints of brick on rims, aromas of spicy wood, currants, herbs, chocolate, plums, b4, a3, t2, satiny, silky smooth, round fruit w/slightly sharp underlyikng edge, acidity, nice flavors but a tad bitter on finish, hot better w/air

14.1%...seemed like a Bordux look-alike from the very start, barnyard mustiness gives way within 20-30 minutes to a really ripe profile, earthy, spicy, cassis, cedar...medium-full, still really structured, tobacco, spicy berry, gorgeous acidity - the finish began to close off/shutdown at the one hour mark - was my only bottle, but if I had more, I'd surely let it rest for another 2-3 years before trying another. Delille always performs better with a couple of years under their belt - not real stars immediately after release, with the exception of Doyenne.
