Still drinking great at 11 years old. Some more butterscotch flavors now, but still very much a lemon zest, golden delicious apple thing going on with a flinty minerality for a finish.
Nicely done.

Its me, my wife, and a Magnum of the 2013 RR. As I am drinking glass after glass, the alcohol has clouded many of my senses, but the wine, is delicious and right in the drinking zone. The only way to drink the aged version of these wines is in a Magnum! Don't you worry, we will get through this heavy lifting soon!
The wine is a golden yellow, with thick viscosity and sweet for my palate, but kind of Burgundian in its bouquet. I sense enough oak cream to intrigue me without being offensive and there is an evident kiss of butter. Lots of freshness still in the large format. Long, finish with a resurgence of the oak...good stuff. Drink without shame or hesitation, but Magnums will hold and definitely improve over next 3 years. Cheers!

Pop and pour. In the glass, pale clear gold. On the nose, peach, honeysuckle, and smoky oak. On the palate, more fruit than the nose implied, riding a supple, plush texture, with a nice backbone of minerality and smoke to carry it through the finish. The DuMOL RRV Chard always performs well IMO, but this was a better-than-average performance.

Drank with BBQ Alaskan Spot Shrimp. Beautiful pairing with the rich mild flavored fish. Not as hard edged as I often fine DuMol, elegant fruit with a little flinty wet stone nose. 91

Very delicious and drinking well right now. Loads of white fruit, citrus, and tropical flavors. Not off-flavors or signs of old age. Fine mouthfeel and medium duration aftertaste.

Solid. From a half bottle they foisted on me a few years back when they ran out of regular bottles for their mailing list members (so they stuffed us with these, probably to get rid of unsold inventory. Ahh, the joys of being a captured "mailing list" customer....). Nevertheless, still drinking nicely with notes of ripe tropicals, oak, vanilla and spice.

I really enjoyed this wine. It tasted fresh, vibrant, and pure. Very little sense of oak on the nose or the palate. It tasted great even after it warmed to room temperature.

Softer and more understated than most Chardonnays we’ve had out of the DuMOL stable, this relies more on elegance than power. Butterscotch, popcorn, guava and pineapple core predominate the flavor profile with toasty notes in the bouquet and a satisfying finish. Perfect with the Caprese salad. Drink now. (= Worth Seeking Out)

A softer wine on the tongue than I had expected. Yes there is some acid and some minerality but boy is this softened by the creamy controlled character. Not overpowering by those (typically wood driven) notes, this wine is exrtaoridinarily balanced.
More beautiful and delicate than voluptuous and forward.

Pop and pour. Apple, Asian pear and faint citrus on the nose along along with crushed green tree leaves.
While not crisp, this has a modest buttery mouthfeel but comes Across very clean and pure. Sadly my Last Bottle but this is in a very good place and at or near its peak.

California Vacation (Sonoma, SF, Monterey); 8/5/2017-8/12/2017: From 375. Nice creamy Chardonnay. Tropical and exotic fruits, along with ripe red apple, toast, and sweet spice. I he creaminess is a bit unbalanced, but pleasant in the mouth. Finishes a bit short.

I opened it up on a thursday night, with a glass+ I put the cork back in and put into the fridge. When I returned on the next tuesday night I drank the last glass. Very good, better than initially. The wine tasted very balanced and delicious. I would guess this will age well.

Flash note. A flash note is one that I distinctly remember the quality/overall rating of a wine but can’t give specifics because the tasting note was not written at time of tasting.
Side by side with marcassin and it held up closely. Obviously much better QPR. Highly recommended

Medium nose shows baked pear, yellow flowers, kiwi, creme brulee, lemon curd. Palate is big style, lots of layers, baked yellow apple, creme brulee, lemon peel, pineapple. Alcohol medium plus, finish very tasty. QPR decent, I would guess their single vineyards are worth the price jump.

Yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Big nose of pepper, vanilla and mixed yellow fruits. Flavors of creme, yellow pears and a splash of brandy. Medium acidity, full bodied. Drink over the next 3-4 years.
My guess was this is New World, California, Chardonnay, 2012 Ramey Russian River Valley.

A cooler climate more restrained (less fruity) Chardonnay. Very nice depth with apple, pear and a touch of flower petals. Tangy (acidic) finish. I'd be willing to age a few bottles to see where this can go.

Crisper, more acidic than I would expect from a DuMOL. Have they changed their style to be more reserved? I wanted it to be big and rich, but it wasn't.

From 375, pop and pour. In the glass, pale gold. On the nose, citrus and smoke. On the palate, ample fruit balanced with an almost Chablis-like crispness and flintiness, with smoky oak rounding things out. More than many vintages of DuMOL's RRV chard, this one feels built for the long haul.

Loads of citrus, wet stone and flint on the palate. Incredible intensity and weight. It's not often I taste a white wine and say that this needs some time, but I think this one will benefit from a few years in the cellar.
