Dark red in colour. Noise is very fragrant, dominiant character is mint, same as the start of the palette which gives way to typical mature Shiraz mid palette.

Dark inky Barossa Shiraz. Very smooth and touches of fruit and berries. I remember the lady at the cellar door and that makes it more special to drink 12 years later. Great wine

Dark inky color - medium-full bodied. Pleasant expressive but moderate black and hints of red berry fruits - blackcurrent, raspberry and plum. Smooth velvety tannins and a moderate long finish.

I expected a bit more from this. No signs of secondary development even though it's 8 years old. Dark chocolate and mulberry. Almost too rich for my liking. Will not be buying this again.

This was probably not the most appropriate wine to accompany Caribbean-French food at dinner, but nonetheless, this was a bit lacking. Flabby and slightly cloudy, the flavors were not very well defined and the wine didn't make up for it on the finish.

Australian Shiraz Retailer Tasting: Retailer tasting. I did not think this was as good as the 93 points the WA gave it. Nice round wine with notes of chocolate and berries. Medium bodied. 87-88 points.

April FWR Tasting (FWR, Toronto, Canada): Opaque purple/black colour. Aromas of vanilla, eucalyptus, pine needles, and black Sambuca. Full-bodied, with notes of black Sambuca, black jelly bean, pine needles, and blackcurrant. Moderate-long finish, ~40s, with dark fruit and alcohol notes.

Impressive! I usually avoid shiraz because I find it over-rated, but this one lived up to the hype. Inky purple hue with lots of density. Creamy nose of vanilla and cedar, with complex undertones of blackcurrents and plum. Medium-full bodied with velvety tannins and a long finish. Complex evolving flavors that mellowed over time. Very Nice!

Charcoal, blueberry and mocha nose (very nice). Strong fruit (but not overly jammy) mid-palate, 20+ second finish, some oak and burnt wood. Lots going on here, great QPR. Not a wow wine, but an excellent crowd pleaser.

Tasted at the Wine Exchange on August 5, 2006. Inky purple color. Dark fruits aromas and a touch of eucalyptus on the nose. Interesting combination of mocha and pecan flavors. Very tasty!

This may be worthy of my points after opening up, but my initial reaction is this comes up a bit short. Nice flavor profile on the mid-palate, but lacking that WOW factor.

my goodness what a concoction. there is so much going on here: mint, licourice, creosote, salty plums, sweet oak, maple syrup, anise, blackberries. intense complexity, but decipherable. fun, without a doubt, but not quite a classic. boisterous, bodaceous, huge and strong, yet not completely out of control. tannins and acidity prop this effort up solidly. finish is forever. this is a very commendable science experiment. A

I agree with cookie7 this wine just comes up a bit short. It was a little one dimensional, but it did start to open up after an hour in the decanter.

Christmas '05 in Australia; 12/8/2005-12/27/2005 (Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne and Gold Coast): Slightly closed nose, subtle currant fruit. Good back lacks a little extra for a 90+.
Tried again on the 11th and had opened up and worth 90+
