Lovely blend, however, open it the day before since it needs a long decant to settle into a more silky juicy. Full body with a linguering finish, but decant or airate for a 3-4 hours before drinking.

Filtered and decanted for 1 hour, then rebottled with the "shake." Well rounded, soft and approachable, great combination of power and finesse. It outshined the 2011 Carnival of Love that was treated similarly. Beautiful color and fruit mingled with a long, smooth finish. Drinking well now and should continue to do so for a few more years. I don't see this wine getting much better, unless the brown profile fits your palate.

Still dark garnet and opaque. Medium-full bodied, with some finesse and elegance rather than just raw power and concentration. Very open, sweet, complex nose of dark berries and fruits, but with some softness. Seems fully mature, but no doubt it will last at least five more years. Tasted with 2012 Carnival of Love, more contrasted, which we preferred slightly. Ric

Pop and pour, drank a couple glasses over an hour. This wine is well-fruited, and also smooth. It's not jammy, there's actually a woodsy vegetal quality to the palate. This is in a good place right now, fully resolved, and no need to hold longer.

Amy & Scott Break in their new deck!: I think it was PnP, but will amend or make a note if ZI am wrong - This is still very fruit-forward for a 10 year old wine. Mollydooker did an awesome job balancing the Cabernet with the Shiraz. Nose showed lots of purple fruit, baking spice, chocolate and leather....palate showed purple, black and red fruit, with chocolate and gravel with shades of tobacco. There is enough fruit, tannins and acidity to allow this wine to thrive for at least another few years, although I am not sure it will improve much. I would say drink up, but no hurry. 93+ for my palate.

This wine is showing perfectly. On the nose, there are the expected black and red cherry notes with a hint of some floral notes as well. A fairly subdued nose overall. It is on the palate that this wine shines! The McLaren Vale Shiraz and Cabernet are perfectly balanced. The tannins have faded to the background. The fruit is much brighter than I usually see from McLaren Vale. The fruit holds from start to the long finish. I don't see any reason to hold this wine any longer. It has aged well and is at its peak!

Really drinking well here. OK as a PnP (after the MD shake) but really shone after thirty minutes, when more of the terroir and inky stone flavors opened up in the midpalate.

#1000 and im proud of it. Thank you to everyone for liking my ratings and following me on all my wine platforms. This ones for all of you. Deep purple. Black cherry, concentrated plums and pomegranates, and baking spices nose. Dry, balanced, rich highly structured wine. Flavors are well developed with time. Boysenberry, black cherry, blackberry jam, plums, plum skins, dusty gravel, sweet tobacco and milk chocolate. Starts to open up a bit but keeps that alcohol spirit along the way.

Another great one from Mollydooker! Tons of ripe blackberry, blueberry, vanilla, cinnamon and baking spices, even a little coffee. This wine is bold and big, but has such depth, and a truly impressive finish. Tannins are present but subtle. Carnival of Love is still my favorite, but this is a close second from this vineyard.

Decanted for a good hour and we think it helped. Albeit not a natural style that we would go to we have to say we really enjoyed this and were pleasantly surprised. Its a big wine, massive but also soft and elegant with round features and was just ion the money. Light smoky, full on rich core of fruit but not heave, good acidity , oak of course, light sweet spice, light mocha feel. This is the first Mollydooker we have tried and even for boring classicists like us it was a worthy and very enjoyable wine. Does carry a lot of Alcohol 15.5% so one does feel it at the end of the dinner though :) 92-3

Drank over two days and really enjoyed it. (Definitely needs the MollyDooker shake) but this wine -- while young -- is immediately accessible, still better the second day. Thing nice round purple fruit (a little jammy) some licorice and sweet wood, almost like a bourbon sitting just beyond the palate...not in your face or hot like the alcohol, just that sense of warmth and woody spice. Clearly the alcohol is high but the tannins are round. Enjoy now.

This got better with time, but needed several hours before it was even approachable. The alcohol was among the characteristics most evident early on. Medium purple color, medium finish. A bit of cherry on the palate and heat from the shiraz.

Three Big Boys (Switchback, Carver Sutro, Mollydooker) (Home): It had a been a while since I tried this. Screw capped. Purple in color. The nose has a lot of black raspberries, cedar, some black pepper. Slight reduction that blows off quickly. On the palate, this is very good. Not much complexity but still drinks quite young. With air, it starts to unwind and show more. I am not sure how much better it will get, but I think a bit. Any way, no harm in opening now or waiting. Clearly not for everyone though. There is plenty of oak on the nose and the palate. That said, I enjoyed it.

Beautiful nose, blueberry, strawberry, jammy as to be expected and loved. So smooth. Hope people remember to do the "Molly Shake", makes all the difference on all their Wines (other then the bubbly). Very excited of the ease to drink with the amount of alcohol. Easy PNP, however an hour decant brings out a whole new sweeter nose and smoothness. Enjoy. Love!

I will withhold a score because this wine is not one of my preferred styles and I don't want to unfairly besmirch the community average rating. If I dislike horror films, I can watch a wonderful horror film and still not like it. So it is with the 2011 Enchanted Path.
Purchased in my effort to diversify and build a more interesting cellar. Nearly impenetrable purple-black, it's just too much of everything for me. I do get lots of dark berry fruit, maybe a touch of chocolate and/or anise. This wine is not at all shy, and it's not horribly disjointed like I find some 'blockbuster' reds - the fruit and structure (acidity, tannin) and alcohol are at least somewhat in balance - it's just all turned up to eleven. If you like that sort of thing I suspect you can continue to find the 2011 Path at a decent price and enjoy it with your Brontosaurus Burger or whatever.
I honestly have no idea whether this type of wine settles down and resolves over time or just falls to pieces, but I'll wait several years to revisit.

Opened at 5:00 while throwing dry aged strips on the grill for my birthday. Now having glass two at 10:00. Ok maybe glass three; bday, remember? During dinner, it was nice. Much like juffer described it -- delicious and seamless, but fruity and creamy in a very straightforward way, e.g. strawberry yogurt. 90-91.
Has gone from good to absurdly good in the past few hours. Raspberry, blueberry, graphite, vanilla extract, tobacco, and a toasty mocha frame. The oak is deft; hits the cab perfectly and elevates it at least a notch; meshes it with the Shiraz beautifully. 2+2 = 5 with this blend. Layered, deep, juicy, balanced. Medium finish and some heat protruding, which keeps this just below the stratosphere. 93-94+ -- has miles to go from here. World-class winemaking, especially considering the vintage.

Decanted for 2 hours. Fruity tone is the main and only thing in this wine. It is a one dimension wine, which is totally as simple as some under 15 wines. Since I had tasted 2010 carnival of love previously, that is a real fruit bomb and amazing wine! However, the 2011 enchanted path is a kind of scam....... It might be because of the bad vintage. Also, the composition of enchanted path is pretty much similar to carnival of love with 71%syrah and 29% Cabernet, but I didn't see any benefit from cabernet. I will strongly recommend domestic cheap wines that you also can find fruity and burning.

Gave several hours of air in the decanter. Deep, dark, thick in the glass, and the mouth. Nose of bark, blackened fruit, caramelized meat and fat and tart red berries. More of the same on the palate with intense concentration of tannin and black tar fruits. Lots of muscle and syrupy chew. Finishes with expresso and tannin, rich think dripping blackberry lingering. PJG: 91

Please see my comment on the '11 Carnival of Love.
Briefly here... Been a Dooker fan since '06 and understand them well. Interesting in that the CoL was a huge disappointment to me and Mrs. We both found this one to be less of one. Perhaps the blending made a difference.
It was lacking the typical Dooker color, nose and the tasting profile was too acidic for me, there was no integration of fruit and alcohol and the finish was lackluster at best.
I love Mollydookers and am shocked at both these bottles - hoping that the '12 vintage restores my faith. I only have so many of prior vintages left in my cellar. I am also going to see what type of deals I can find on the '10's.

I served this in my wine course. One of the students really nailed the mid palate on this: strawberry yoghurt. The rich creamy mid palate combined with overripe berry jam in the nose and mouth really makes it seem like drinking strawberry yoghurt. But really, the wine is pretty decent and has plenty of acidity to support all the ripe fruit. I think it will also improve with age once it tones down a bit.

Deep purple colour. Decanted for 1 hr before drinking. Opened up with beautiful nose. A stunner with a long finish.

Dense, full bodied, deep concentrated complex black and blue berry and cherry flavors accented by spice, well integrated, soft silky nicely polished tannins on a long finish.
Best of tasting of the Aussie Shiraz' at Grand Tour 2013 Chicago. Tasted with OTBN team.
