Dark inky purple colored, full bodied concentrated black and blue fruits with accents of tobacco and herbs, notes of cedar and expresso, turning to nuances of mocha chocolate on the supple finish laced with firm but approachable acidity and tannins https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2020/11/lewis-cellars-alecs-blend-napa-valley.html

Garnet with purple highlights. Restrained nose. Extracted fruit forward palate of dark brambles, herbs, blueberry, spice, and a hint of espresso. Body seemed a bit thin compared to the level of extraction. I tried to find it interesting, just not my style. Drank unaccompanied.

Bright red-biased color that does not let much light through. Lots of berry aromas with a hit, also, of stone fruit. Berry fruit is all over the wine on introduction to the tongue, but, then, there is a mineral or dusty hit that immediately adds complexity. Next I’m getting the tannins and a hit of mint. This is one wine were I truly see different layers of flavors piling on. It's drinkable, make that enjoyable, now, but anybody who has this does not need to rush now. I think it can age for many more years.

This was, by far, the star of the evening. Deep garnet to the rim, distinctive notes of dark fruits, chocolate and leather. Plenty of fruit but not over the top. Decanted for an hour pursuant to prior member notes. That was the ticket!

PnP at 3rd Corner Bistro in Ocean Beach (San Diego) with a dinner group of 10 friends. We all liked the wine, but the consensus was that it would have been even better had we given it some time in a decanter. Big, deep spicy fruit nose; palette for me was plum fruits and some darker fruits; the finish was too hot for my preference - but that was probably our fault for not decanting it. Bottom line = excellent wine, but give it time to open up!

Great wine. Good fruit, great balance. Fruity with a little oak. Went great with the bacon wrapped venison chop. Probably the best wine i've had this year.

Nice wine with nice texture; but not my style particularly; smooth, "drinkable"-- but lacking in interest compared to others.
