I didn't like this at all on the first night. Re-corked and tasted after 24 hours and it was much more approachable. We only have 1 bottle left so I will remember to decant or wait a day. 2009 was a tricky year - with pinots that tend to be structured, hot, and bold but not very fruit forward or nuanced. I'd say this holds true to the trend. Score is 79 on day 1, 85 on day 2.

From a purchase of six, this wine is getting better each time I have it. The pro raters were right about this vintage. I took this to dinner with friends, not being sure we'd drink it. It's the one Stoller vintage that shows no sediment which is the reason I took it. Still, it shows plenty of fruit and life ahead.

With pork loin, pop n pour. Should have popped and decanted and let the wine aerate. Medium bodied with Stoller's edginess. There was a bitterness in the beginning that faded to what I like in Stoller's pinots. Trouble was, it was the last pour.

I liked this the first time I tried it, but now it's feeling unbalanced, with raspberry jam aromas and a sharp and hot feel on the palate, and a weak, watery finish.

This wine was not pleasing. Excessively hot and jammy. After being open a full day, the heat had resolved a bit but it was still too sweet, almost a bit treacly, and excessively ripe. Unlike most of the Willamette Valley 2009s this was unapproachable and overwhelmingly fruity. Nose is black fruit, plum shading to prunes, spice. Dark red. Tannins are present and medium finish but overwhelmed by hot sweet fruit. Bad bottle? purchased at the winery and stored in my cellar ever since.

Classic nose, big, bold and dark. Good tannins. While it's drinking nice now, there seems to be much more to come. 1 of 4 btls so I'm giving it another year before opening the next.

This had delicious sweet tannins with very deep res fruit of black cherry & strawberry. Nose shows some clove & ginger with some deep black cherry & toasted nuts. Love the texture & this is very easy drinking with the black cherry, strawberry, & some bay leaf showing throughout.

Tasty drinking Pinot. And this is bigger fruit character. 11 months in barrel and two full years in bottle. Bigger than the JV that is. With more depth and richness. Again, with a lighter hand than I remember Stoller being. A defter hand maybe. No change of wine maker as I had assume.

Again, much better than I have had from Stoller. Fresh, brighter, clearer in the wine. Less oak and less of a heavy hand on extraction. Still big and rich. I like the "basic" 2010 more. But there it is. Works at $34 but maybe not too my palate.

Drank back to back with the 2008 SV. The 2009 clearly has the same DNA as the 2008, but is more subdued. Aromas of black cherry, plum, and a slight earthy note, along with some spice and a hint of oak. On entrance, the black fruit flavors are forward with noticeable black cherry and plum. Also some notes of licorice and spice in the mid-palate. Medium body, with some acidity that keeps the fruit lively, and moderate tannins give it a nice structure. A delightful showing and a wonderful bottle, that is sadly left overshadowed by its year-older sibling. Drink 2013-2016.

Very light nose, fruit, and finish. Nothing stands. Didn't get what the other reviews indicated. Will try another bottle in a while and see if it improves.

Good QPR @ $16.99. Upon opening this wine was very floral, a bit of raspberry on the nose and an overwhelming floral palate with clove on the finish. After about 10 minutes, it came into its own. Typical PN nose of raspbery and dry brush. The palate lost the clove and floral notes and became much more cola and milk chocolate driven. Overall, a very good PN in this price range.

Pleasing aromas and flavors of black cherries, cola, rhubarb and liquorice with a medium long finish. Not overly complex and memorable, but a very nice wine for under $20. Drink now or before the end of 2013.

I have been wanting to try an Oregon Pinot for quite some time. I was looking for Willamette Valley but settled on this one from Dundee Hills. Decent fruit and flavor, but really bitter on the back. Overall, not a fan.

Tried this 3rd in a flight of 5 NEW Oregon Pinots. Haven't had anything from this winery before. Found this to be a nice ruby color, reasonably concentrated. Spice nose of liquorice & rose hips, raspberry. This was a bit more complex with medium tannins and mouth feel. Sweet on the tongue with a short finish. A typical pinot I've come to expect from the Dundee area, but I would not add this to my cellar as it retails at $29.00 a bottle. Will have to try others from this winery for comparison.
