2021 Pā Road Sauvignon Blanc

Excellent, drinking easily 2x or 3x above its $7.99 price. Bright grassy notes and intense grapefruit and gooseberry on the nose. On the palate, classic Marlborough Sauv Blanc character: bright acidity, tart lemon, bone dry with a tart, slightly sour finish that lingers for more than a minute.

2010 Winter Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep inky red to the rim. Sweet cassis and blackberries on the nose with some oaky vanilla in the background. Fruit forward with rich black fruit, juicy acidity, faint dried herbs that rise on the midpalate as it airs in the glass. After beingopen an hour, more subtle secondary notes and the grippy tannins get a bit more integrated. Ridiculously long finish, still feeling the acidic tingle many minutes later. Drinking far younger than the 11 years would suggest. Pop and pour for a Napa Valley bomb in your mouth, decant or open and let sit an hour for a juicy treat. Could age a few years more but why wait. If you've got it, open it with something grilled or roasted.

2012 Cameron Hughes Cabernet Sauvignon Lot 433

In 2016 it's a more restrained experience, but beautiful and still somewhat lively. The dark black fruits with exotic spices are also showing some dried fruit aromas and tart, sour black plums. The aromatics show a little funk on open but turn into darker, stewed black fruits which are matched on the palate. Long finish with beautifully integrated tannins. Drink now, it's gorgeous.
