2019 Fait-Main Cabernet Sauvignon Bettinelli Sleeping Lady Vineyard
4/27/2024 - AGELVIS Likes this wine: 95 Points
Three hour decant. Nearly opaque electric magenta color. Plum, blueberry, chocolate covered cherry, cinnamon roll, and graphite. Smooth, dry, full bodied palate, with good acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.
This really only needs an hour or two decant, although three didn’t hurt. It has a rare combination of elegance and decadence. As it gains complexity, this will be a pretty special bottle.

Ripe, rich, juicy fruit. Dry, spicy palate. Firm tannins on the longish finish.
This is good, but lacks polish. Needs some time to sort itself out.

2020 Jean-Luc Colombo Cornas Les Ruchets

This could really use an hour or two decant, but was tasted as a PNP. The winery notes blackberry, garrigue, and warm fig (and I agree). Very smooth, dry palate. Full, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.
Tasted this at Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour in New Orleans. I’ve not had many Cornas. It was on DQ’s must try list. This was very nice.
