Wine Education Service - Oregon (LSE): Bright yellowed silver. Gently aromatic, slightly petrol nose Vaguely sweet, fruity, juicy, just enough acidity, medium length.

Only a decent Riesling. I've had this same wine for 3 vintages in a row now and this has been my least favorite. Sweet with a slight spritz almost, but doesn't have the acid to balance the sweetness. Could almost be used in place of a dessert wine, comes off sweeter than it is. I'm a fan of WVV in general, but not my favorite

too sweet without enough acidity. Perhaps more years on shelf would have improved it but no more to find out. Had at brunch

A California evening with Wolfgang Puck (Cut restaurant, 45 Park Lane Hotel, London): Off-dry, apples, like fresh apple juice but with the stems and the pips. Like a not-so-very-good Eiswein. What's the point? Not sweet enough for dessert anyway.
