  • Cost $13 at Trader Joe's. Per www.willamettevalleyvineyards.com:
Vintner located in Turner, Oregon. A semi-sweet medium bodied German-style wine. Vibrant aromas of peach, pineapple, citrus and honeysuckle flowers. The explosive mouth-filling flavors mirror the aromas with star fruit and as steely apple malic acidity giving a sweet-tart balance with the sweetness finishing clean and refreshing crisp, with a long mouth watering finish. Great by itself, or a good match with light cheeses, citrus fruits, slightly sweet fowl dishes with fruit chutney, prawns, scallops, and crab. Serve well chilled on the table and allow to warm in your glass for optimal enjoyment. Harvested October 18 to November 5, 2006. At harvest, 19.5 to 24 degrees Brix; titrable acidity 6.2 to 8.6 g/l; pH 3.07 to 3.31. Filtration: Polish, Millipore. Yeast strain: VL-1, VL-3. Fermentation in stainless steel. Bottling December 2006 to February 2007. 21,000 cases bottled, released April 2007. Flavour is high average (78.5).
