BTG from Mag. This wine is holding up surprisingly well. Still fruit forward, some secondary notes. A great example of cali cab that’s settled down some in all respects. Drinking very well.

PnP and followed for several hours. Loads of cassis, blackberry, earth, cloves, some smoke, and a hint of leather and iodine and coconut on the nose. Blackberry, tart cherry, cassis, earth, spice, licorice, and a little caramel on the palate. Nice juicy acidity. Tannins are quite present, but nice. Very nice finish. Not shy on oak, but there's a nice aged quality to it. The acidity and tannins call for a piece of meat.

Election night 2012 wine dinner at Bonda: Wheat germ on the nose. Woodie and tannic on the finish. A little bitter on the finish and wasn't sure if I was tasting some sort of metal or not. Ok, but didn't wow me and would have been disappointing if I paid $100 for it.

Consumed without decanting. Juicy. Cherry and plum notes. Hints of cedar. Higher acid made it great with dinner.

Not bad, but probably past its time. I actually I expected more from this Cab. Disappointing.
