At a very good place, had after a 2013 Pahlmeyer with baby backs. Complex, viscous, lengthy finish, glad I kept one around. Based on this bottle well stored this has another 5-7 years to go

Drank our last 2 bottles of this wine over the last week. Deep and dark color. Nose unremarkable. Esters still blue/red-fruity with a touch of leather. Very pleasant. After 16 years, well integrated. Ready now. Will likely not improve and may be a little past its prime. Luscious, velvet and rich mouthfeel. Quite decadent. Spicy, tobacco notes are introduced, but overall taste is uncomplicated dark red cherries over a deep abyss. I Finish is long but less interesting than I would like. Unfiltered so cloudy at end of bottle. Best with food.

I’ve been going through a lot of mid-2000 Californians and the majority are unfortunately over the hill. This however was outstanding. Even on day 2. I wouldn’t hold it longer but it was a bright light in a lot of disappointments.

(COUP DE FOUDRE CABERNET SAUVIGNON) #2; VaynerPAZZZ (on QPR); COLOR-very dark; NOSE-very intense & explosive, beautiful chocolate covered strawberries, little Gran Marnier orange aspect, completely over-the-top, very cherry pie; TASTE-12% Syrah bringing a nice flavor; this tastes more like chocolate than Amarone's; the most milk chocolate driven wine that I've ever had...it's SHOCKING; chocolate bomb and a fruit bomb (raspberry syrup), very silky smooth; an over-the-top, fruit-driven extracted bottle of wine; WE-98; GV-93

Either and off bottle of well past it’s prime. My suspicion is the latter.

Quite vibrant fruit, nicely structured, in a great drinking window.
