Ripe pear, almost honeyed, and slate on the nose. But austerely dry (almost scorching) in a way that reminds me of too young, just disgorged, champagne. There's an interesting sweet apple, granitic finish. Not sure if the mid-palate sting is youth or something in the winemaking, but if I had more, I'd wait a year or so to try again. Suspect scores will be higher. After 5 days in the fridge, tried this again. The phenolic bite had faded completely. This was pure fruit and thickly mineral. Zippy candy apple finish too.

(Clemens Busch Rieslimg Kabinett Trocken) Lovely mineral nose with slate notes all over the place. The palate was complex, ripe and juicy and in perfect harmony. There was lovely finesse and good finishing minerality. A sleek Kabinett Trocken.

Peaches, rose, mid-palate honey and floral overtones, mineral finish. Nice balance.

Lean, strong minerality and acid, fruit isn’t that overwhelming. Good quality for 6 Euro.

Grosser Ring Tasting of 2007 wines from the Nahe, Mosel, Saar and Ruwer (German Embassy, London): 12%
Rather pear droppy on the nose. Very, very dry attack - aggressively, nay violently so. There's a certain concentration on the middle of the palate, but overall this offers no pleasure whatsoever.
