This was part of the massive Zachy's $5 inventory dump back in 2008. For years it was the house red along with Borsao, but I saved a couple to see how they aged. 30 minute decant. The low tanins characteristic of the grape were obvious, but I did not get the high acidity. Smooth with no rough edges. A good version of "just wine." Nothing very special but no negative characteristics. There's another glass left in the decanter and I'm going to see what it's like with 5 hours of air and report back.

Much better than the last bottle I had. I decanted for about an hour and a half. I think this helped considerably. As noted by others, some cherry fruit flavors. The monolithic tannins I experienced last time were not present. Reasonable balance. Decent value. I am not certain what more time in the bottle will do. Can't imagine it will hurt.
