Light nose of lemon, apple/pear, a little honey. Mid weight with tons of the same fruit and nice long finish. ‘21 acid for sure and plenty but not overdone to my taste. Just a great finish and a huge strength of this wine. Barely off dry, I had to check did I grab a Kab or trocken?

SaiMai Thai and riesling (Chicago, IL): Kind of diffuse for a Mosel riesling especially of a post-modern bent; it was missing the mineral tightness of the Ohligsberg, though this had a little more fruit and weight. I imagine a hypothetical blend of the two (I should have tried that...) might have yielded a more convincing Kabinett.

No, I don't like it, I LOVE it. What a glorious wine!
A yellow pool of molten gold sits at the center, with beams of white and yellow fruits radiating outward. Quite acid, but somehow despite that an inner softness shows itself. Extremely long, with the fruit at play on the tongue. A real achievement, testament to a great site, year, and winemaker. Bravo!
The 2020 was very good, but this is beyond remarkable.
After a day in the fridge under N2, this was just a bit muted. Then over the next day or two with the same treatment, it bounced back. Interesting evolution. The Geierslay behaved similarly.

Vibrant and electric on day 1, more mellow and elegant on day two. Very exciting wine.
