  • Nice notes of cherry, black cherry, blackberry, and cinnamon. On tasting I get the fruit plus some cedar and oak. Some smoke also.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry and cedar. It tastes like blackberry, cherry, cedar, oak and toast. The body is medium. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has medium acidity.

  • Medium ruby red. Tight at first but opened after an hour or so. Red fruits, leather and earth on the nose. Really nice, typical Chianti Classico/sangiovese flavours of sour cherry, tar, violets. Bright acidity, medium+ finish with a nice mineral backbone. Quite serious and structured. Twice as good with spaghetti and tomato sauce. Buy more. 91+

  • Youthful but already very accessible Chianti Classico wine, sourced from the clayey-sandy-slate soils around the village of Radda (located about 25 kilometers south of the city of Firenze). An organically farmed and spontaneously fermented wine composed of 90 percent Sangiovese and 10 percent Canaiolo. It was aged for 24 months in 2000-liter Slavonian oak barrels. Color: vivacious ruby-red. Bouquet: intense nose revealing scents of cherry, cranberry, dried herbs and a hint of cocoa and new leather. On the palate, a really enjoyable medium- to full-bodied wine, dominated by delicious ripe cherry and red forest fruit, with a perfect balance, a gentle tannic structure and a finely integrated acidity. Finish: convincing aftertaste with some slight smoky nuances. Great QPR. Optimal enjoyment: now–2026.

Voortreffelijke prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Optimaal drinkgenot: nu–2026.

  • Clear medium red. Lovely floral red cherry, forest floor and dried herb nose. Very delicious mid weight berry and red cherry flavours with a sneaky tannic finish.

    More Radda please.
