The more of these wines I taste the more I believe drink 'em young. This is subtle, yet lovely with its gamey, balsamic, tree bark and fig, plus plenty of earth. Silky. Really not sure it will develop further. IMHO.

Typical Rocks funk, something green and peppery like arugula, huckleberry, espresso, iron, and a little something floral. Like it's 470 sibling, it reminds me of a nicer Saint Joseph. If you're buying one, you might as well buy both. I liked it more after an hour or so in the decanter.

Marijuana brownies on the nose with savory, pure syrah flavors, spiked with classic Rocks terroir, though showing a light touch with the green pepper that so often dominates Rocks flavors. Savory and a touch bloody, too. Yum. An endless finish completes the deal.

Nice Rock District funk. Not overpowering and pretty smooth. Definitely agree with others that drinking these younger might be the way to go.

Big peppery fruit, with lots of earth. Not a fruit forward Syrah but much more layered and elegant.
