Auction wines from Mosel - Germany 2018 (Versteigerung weine) (LEdV): I tasted both the Regular version on the market and the special Auction version (grapes from the vines planted on the vineyard's very best parcels, "Versteigerung Wein"). The regular version: A little reduction on the nose in the beginning. A little anise. 90/100 The auction version: A clearly better wine. Impressive because it is so well-defined (each aroma/flavour are extremely distinctive) 92+/100

VDP Mosel - Grosser Ring - annual auction (Trier): *** brief note from public tasting, no rating *** Nose: Ripe fruit, yeasty, super fine grape notes Palate: yeasty, fine, elegance, beautiful ripe acidity, not a declassified Auslese, very long. 93–94

@ Weinversteigerung in Trier. Another wine from the legendary Berncasteler Doctor vineyard, my personally I prefer the wine by Thomas Haag (Schloss Lieser) but this is not very far behind in expression.
