Cinnamon and raspberry nose. Fresh and light-footed palate with red fruits dominating along with a nice streak of finishing acidity. This is very tasty unlike many of Bedrock's other 2016 offerings.

For me, the words Zinfandel and elegant seldom belong in the same sentence but this wine may change that. In the nose rich tart and sweet cherry, sweet orange and black licorice with hints of wood smoke. In the mouth a mélange of juicy wild red fruit washed in fresh squeezed citrus with smoky, peppery undertones that seem to linger on and on. Fuller side of medium bodied but incredibly poised and elegant with just popping great acid and soft creamy ripe tannin.
Just a fantastic bottle, drinking great right now and for at least the next four or five years. If you have one drink it, if you have more, then count yourself very lucky.

Very pronounced nose of blackberries, herbs, warm (oak) spices. Round, full mouthfeel. Sourness and acidity through a juicy palate. Tannins suggest plenty of life yet.

4 hour decant. From a mixed block of Zinfandel and carignan. Blueberry, blackberry, loads of tannin still, oak influence showing a little bit. The fruit is there, the oak is starting to integrate, but this still feels like a baby at 6 years old.
