Medium red. Some deposit. Nose of red cherries, herbs, amphora lift and complexity. Lavender. Wonderful and most unusual. Palate is sweet red cherries, lighter style, quite acid but not overly so. Would it have been better drunk young? The pundits thought so. I’m going to keep my last bottle for some time to see what it does. I’m quite curious about it. Beautifully pure and clean for a complex, long winemaking process - 180 days on skins in beeswax lined amphorae…

Medium ruby in the glass. Shows a nose that's an entirely different ballgame compared to the 2017 which I tried a few days ago. Like one taster mentioned, it really has that vermouth negroni profile with a bit of funk to it. High acidity, but not unbalanced. Just a lick of grippy tannins. Medium-bodied with a medium finish. Could use a few more years in the bottle in comparison to the 2017 which is ready to be appreciated right away.

Commis wine pairing. Grown in clay soils of McClaren Vale and aged in amphoras of that same clay. Cool story. Deep garnet. Aromas of pepper and black fruit. Full - body. Rounded. earth, black plum, ground pepper.

Lacks balance and devoid of finesse.

Smoke and red fruit on the nose, with spice notes. Sour cherries, dark fruits to taste, some gravel. Acidic (good with food) and firm tannins.
