Double decanted two hours before service. Medium red color. Fruity on the nose and palate right from the start. The tannins and acid were moderate and balanced, making it easy to drink. Somewhat disappointing for the price. I can get much heartier Mourvèdre from France at a lower price.

Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (R&D’s): Double blind. Bright crimson red color. Aromas of candied raspberry and wild strawberry with jammy red fruit undertones. There is something a little briary/spicy underneath. Medium body, with flavors of jammy dark fruit and raspberry that become brighter as the wine sits in the glass. This is all about the bright exuberant fruit and I am a fan. Guessed grenache. 92+ pts. (J&J)

Medium ruby – sandalwood, dark cherry, cinnamon, stewed, black pepper, opening up to blackberry and more black pepper. Medium+ acid, medium tannins, 14.1% ABV, medium body, medium finish. This wine just sang the longer it was open. It was delightful to drink now, but it has plenty of life ahead of it. It paired beautifully with chicken Italian sausages.

World class. Thick and round, blueberry and black frilyit, plum. Soft tannins and a great, long finish. One of my favs!
