  This is a lovely Volnay singing from the outset. Perfumed nose of sweet red berries, cherries, blood orange, some earth, and a lifted floral note that I can’t put my finger on. Really attractive. On the palate this is lithe and silky with fine integrated acidity providing excellent line and length. Tannins are resolving with a bit of grip remaining. First class for the appellation. Drink now or hold for 5 years.

  absolutely beautiful villages. And I do not like Angerville, so go figure.

  Totally ready for business. It is amazing how this wine, tough and austere on the release blossomed into a real beauty. Completely agree with Rani's assessment below.

  Less opulent than the 2010 but still a very solid wine. Silky and elegant, fresh and persistent.
