Wine has become my passion. I read. I taste. I travel (but not as much as I would like). I'm willing to share my opinions, but I really would like to hear yours, too.
I am trying to NOT overstock my cellar, which requires sharing a bottle with my wife over supper most evenings. Life is good.....
Joined CT way back when....but only started posting, sharing, and really collecting in 2018. Guess I need to catch up.

2 1/2 hour decant. Deep garnet fading to brick with a thin watery rim. Pungent leather on the nose, followed by plumb, cassis, sweet tobacco, and vanilla. The palate is supple, smooth, full, and hits with velvety tannins, and notes of blueberry, mocha, and more sweet tobacco. Long aftertaste of dark berries and plumb.
Wow! This is drinking really well right now. Margot florals and finesse. Im glad I have another bottle. Drink now or hold through 2030.

Dark garnet fading quickly to a thin watery rim. Nose of dark berries, cocoa, and baking spice. Medium-bodied with medium tannins, good acidity, and flavors of red berry, tar, and clove.
Better than expected for the $8 USD. I paid. Certainly drinkable, if a bit thin. Perhaps to have as a second bottle. Drink now or hold for a couple years.

Very pale straw fading to a clear watery rim. Nose of fresh lemon, white flowers, and nectarine. Light-bodied with medium-high acidity, a slightly creamy mouthfeel, and flavors of stone fruits, more lemon, and a short mineral finish.
Purchased at the winery. Light, summery, but with a little body that differentiates it from all the Rieslings from the region. Amazing bargain for the $8 USD I paid. Drink now. Recommended.
