Farsch this is good. Classic Barossan nose with blackberries and aged leather. Still a rich, deep purple. Really complex, fascinating wine. Full bodied, medium + acid and high tannin - all working in perfect harmony. Notes of cloves, fennel and mint come through strongly, sitting behind more traditional oaky notes. Absolutely awesome

Deep garnet colour. Rich, complex nose. Very savoury and big oak notes. Lots of leather. On the palate, dark fruits but not particularly fruit forward. Oak notes are there. Very dry and a little hint of sourness. Finish shorter than expected. Tannins completely smoothed over with age. Probably a little outside drinking window.

Pleasingly, still drinking well. Deep garnet/brick red in colour, as expected at this age. Nose: Leather, plums, cedar, cherries, licorice. Taste: fruit forward. Star anise, plums, vanilla, low/medium acidity, very soft tannins and a smooth complexion. Fruitier than the equivalent vintage R Reserve consumed recently. Slightly chalky finish, but very long.
